Privacy policy
CALLIOPE is a private tool that publishes videos to the Ask Your Mother YouTube channel. It is operated by the channel's owner for that single channel. This policy explains what information CALLIOPE uses, why, and how you can remove its access.
YouTube API Services
CALLIOPE uses YouTube API Services to upload videos and to check their publishing status. By using CALLIOPE, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information handled through YouTube API Services is also covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What CALLIOPE accesses
CALLIOPE signs in with Google only for the channel owner's own account, and requests two permissions:
- Upload videos, titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails to the Ask Your Mother channel.
- Read the channel's own video details, such as whether a video is public, unlisted, or scheduled, so a short is never scheduled before the full story it points to is live.
CALLIOPE does not access, collect, or store information about viewers, subscribers, commenters, or any other YouTube user or channel.
How the information is used and stored
The only account information CALLIOPE keeps is the sign-in authorization that Google issues, plus the IDs and status of videos it has uploaded. These are stored on a private server controlled by the channel owner and are used solely to publish and track the channel's own videos. This information is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, tracking, or forms, and does not collect any information from visitors. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads.
Removing access and deleting data
CALLIOPE's access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page. To request deletion of any stored information, email the address below. Stored authorization and video records are deleted within 7 days of a request, or within 7 days of access being revoked.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
